March 21, 2010VIRGINIA BEACH—The Navy says a SEAL from Virginia Beach has been killed in a battle with militants in Afghanistan. Chief Special Warfare Operator Adam Lee Brown, 36, died Thursday, the Navy said yesterday. Brown, a native of Hot Springs, Ark., enlisted in the Navy in 1998 and joined the SEALs in 2001. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
